RoadCapture (hereinafter referred to as the 'Developer') establishes and discloses the following privacy policy guidelines to protect users' personal information and to handle related grievances promptly and smoothly.
The Developer processes personal information for the following purposes. The personal information being processed will not be used for purposes other than the following, and if the purpose of use changes, necessary measures will be taken, such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with relevant laws.
App Membership Registration and Management
Personal information is processed for purposes such as confirming membership registration intent, identification and authentication for service provision, maintaining and managing membership qualifications, preventing misuse of services, providing various notices and announcements, and handling grievances.
Location-Based Service Provision
Personal information is processed for purposes such as creating travel records using location information, providing map services, and recommending location-based content.
Content Sharing and Community Service Provision
Personal information is processed for purposes such as sharing user-generated travel records and content, and facilitating communication with other users.
Grievance Handling
Personal information is processed for purposes such as verifying user identity, confirming inquiries, contacting and notifying for fact-finding investigations, and notifying processing results.
① The Developer processes and retains personal information within the period of personal information retention and use agreed upon when collecting personal information from the data subject or within the period of personal information retention and use in accordance with applicable laws.

App Membership Registration and Management: Until app membership withdrawal
However, in the following cases, personal information is retained until the relevant reason is terminated:
Location Information: Until the user withdraws consent for the use of location information or deletes the app
User-Generated Content: Until app withdrawal or until the relevant content is deleted
The Developer processes personal information only within the scope specified in Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information) and provides personal information to third parties only in cases that comply with applicable privacy laws, such as when the data subject consents or when there are special provisions in the law. The RoadCapture app may display user names and profile pictures to other users when sharing content within the app, but otherwise does not provide users' personal information to third parties.
① The Developer outsources personal information processing tasks as follows to ensure smooth personal information processing:
② When entering into outsourcing contracts, the Developer specifies matters such as prohibition of personal information processing beyond the purpose of performing outsourced tasks, technical and administrative protection measures, restrictions on re-outsourcing, management and supervision of the processor, and liability for damages, in accordance with applicable privacy laws, and supervises whether the processor safely processes personal information.
③ If the content of outsourced tasks or the processor changes, we will promptly disclose it through this privacy policy.

① The Developer destroys the relevant personal information without delay when personal information becomes unnecessary, such as when the retention period of personal information has elapsed or the purpose of processing has been achieved.
② If personal information must continue to be preserved in accordance with other laws despite the elapse of the personal information retention period agreed upon by the data subject or the achievement of the processing purpose, the Developer moves the personal information to a separate database (DB) or changes the storage location.
③ The procedure and method of destroying personal information are as follows:

The Developer selects personal information for which destruction reasons have occurred and destroys the personal information with the approval of the Developer's personal information protection officer.

The Developer destroys electronic files containing personal information in a manner that prevents the records from being reproduced.
The Developer takes the following measures to ensure the security of personal information:

② Cookies are small pieces of information sent by the server operating the app to the user's device and stored on the user's device.
